It works for some kids. Some of them get involved in basketball or
baseball. But there are some kids who are really disturbed and need
more than sports as a diversion. They need therapy and guidance.

Diversion itself really helps them. That's what they need most to lessen violence act they feel. But proper guidance, understanding, knowledge and care they need most. They should be discuss the disadvantages of being harsh, rude and violent to others for them to lighten up.

Being diverted to worthwhile activities would help a lot to the young ones. Activities such as sports and any other outdoor activities that would give him the chance to socialize and share what he got. For me, family bonding is a big help to prevent youngsters involve to hazardous activities together with their newly found friend.

well, let's just say that sports alone could not prevent teens to be involve such violence. What they need is much attention from parents, peers and their loved ones.

yes, but is not applicable to all. the best thing to do is to know what a certain teen's likes and dislikes and from there you may identify which is best to hinder from doing violence.
