I think it is not proper that the teacher give a corporal punishment to his/her students . A teacher is supposedly a second parent and she/he must treat his/her students as her/his own child. So self control and understanding of the students should be in the teacher's personality.

It is a nice information, but some teachers are visibly seen treated his/her student as an underdog to his/her power. Hopefully, a teacher before she/he be employed must be given a screening of how she/he may handle his/her students inside the classroom.

I don't know , how it goes that the student was slapped by the teacher, the teacher should be careful in dealing his students. Because the parents might react and they might be send the teacher to court.

In Australia? I don't know if it is allowed that the teacher hurt his students. How come he has a nerve to do that kind of corporal punishment. 

Wow... what are the people doing in Australia to prevent this sort of cruelty? Teachers arent supposed to manhandle their students.

This is so sad.  Teachers teaching their students violence... Tsk tsk!
