Super Strict

My parents are super strict. Im 16 and I have a 10 o'clock weekend curfew, no dating rule plus parental controls in my PC. How do I tell my parents to back off a bit?

At present time, you can heard in the present news, that there are victims of holdapping, abuse, rape and many more crimes, these are the reasons that the parents are strict enough in dealing with their children. ADD COMMENT

A strict parents is a sign that they care for their children, but sometimes they may overreacted that the children may feel that they are choked with their rules. Be respectful and understand your parents,children!. .. They are just thinking for your own good. ADD COMMENT

I understand, but I am not a child! I am 16 and very responsible! I dont need them to hold my hand at every turn! ADD COMMENT

Instead of complaining here, maybe you can just talk straight to them. One of the signs of emotional maturity is taking responsibility of your actions and if you say you are responsible then reinforce this by showing them that you are. Quit whining and just talk to them. ADD COMMENT

The parents who are strict may have observed their child who still can't stand alone, or their children's decision still be guided accordingly. ADD COMMENT
