my aunt was beside herself when my cousin left for college.  to entertain herself she joined several clubs including gardening and book clubs.  after a while she adjusted to life by herself.  you can tell your mum the same thing but you have to make her understand that you will still be there if needed.

Being alone is not easy, but in your situation that you have to leave your mum because of your studies then,  Pain is bearable because it is for good. It will last for few days only. Just pray that no harm and dangers may happened of your mum during your absence.

My advice is...contact your mum from time to time. For we have a hi-tech ways in contacting from each other. 

That's it... Communication now a days is not difficult... You've not to be worry.. Focus your attention to your studies so that when you already finish a course your  mum will be proud of you!

I agree with the above.  We have facebook, twitter, the internet and cellphones.  Besides, you'll be back for holidays so it wont be too bad!

Hey yeah, if not through text, then you can always email her... or tweet that your fine once in a while!
