I would too if I were you. Are you going away to college soon? Then hang on a bit. When you get there you will be glad to get away from controlling parents and then after a while you will miss their controlling ways.... :D

Hahaha!
I agree. At least you have parents. Some of us aren't as fortunate as you are. Appreciate your mom and dad before they are gone. Dont make the mistake of taking them for granted like I did. :(

it's normal to have over protective parents, i guess we all have. but i don't think that you're parents are still worth called overprotective, i think what they do is controlling you. talk to them.

I really hate it when they try to control us. It's very frustrating! Do they even realize that we also get embarrassed when they're overdoing things.

you will miss their controlling ways....
This is sooooo true! My mom bought my clothes, drove me to school everyday, had my school schedule and calls me on my phone if I'm out to "monitor"....
I used to hate it. My friends teased me for being a "baby" and like you I could not wait to go to college even if my chosen school was just a two hour drive away.
After 3 months of freedom, I was lonely for my parents. My mom has great fashion sense and always bought me the coolest clothes. My dad and I liked the same sports so we would spend a lot of nights on the couch watching sports. I could not wait to go home during the holidays to spend it with them.
I was so happy to be back. So even if we complain, our parents have our best interest at hearts. I learned this during my college years and I always looked forward to driving home during breaks and holidays. It wasnt till I was away that I appreciated how much they love and miss me. So when Im at home, I always let them boss me around! :D
Life is funny like that sometimes.

I'm so glad that you've shared your experience , thanks for the enlightenment ! As if I'm now awaken from a deep sleep that my parents were so strict that I want to be away from home just to become liberated, but with your true experience in life, I'm so glad, Cindee, I realized that I love my parents very much.
