This is very important in any aspect of our lives. Lack of communication can lead to misunderstanding. If you want to discipline your children, its better to build a great communication and bonding to your children.

I agree.  It is best that parents keep an open mind as well as open communication lines to their children especially when it comes to school, sex and love. 

If you don't listen, how will you learn?  This goes for both parent and child.

An open communication between each member of the family is very needed to prevent the misunderstanding within the family. Parents should open their mind whenever their child confess something that is unpleasant. This is done to avoid the hatred and being rebellious of the child.

Communication really is important to guide our children. Children with parents who do not establish close relationship with them are often mislead and are mostly violent.

It is not only sparing a rod, that we call punishments but it is also in talking, Communication  is a good discipline to our child have the child talk about her/his side then analyze it if is to be considered or not .

So if we communicate well with our children that it mean that we have to be open to them? Actually I don't share things like my husband has other family. My eldest child is turning 16 this year and I do not know to tell him.
