That's why we must talk to our child in  privacy , after all the activities and excitement of the day have subsided, and after calming ourselves down, especially when grave misconduct is committed.

Yes, there must have consistency in disciplining the child because if we are just lenient, they might overrule us. And the result might worst than we expect.

If you want you children grow with you. They should be discipline from the very beginning. I am not saying you will controlled their life. At least you could properly guide them in a right path you want them to become.

I agree.  I mean you can't be lenient one time and then harsh the next.  Your child has to know the consequences of his behavior.  Consistency also reinforces the rules and cements expectations. 

Discipline should be consistent from both parents.  I mean MOM can't say yes to something DAD does not approve of.  It confuses the kids! 

Punishment should be given according to severity of the crime and they should be given at every offense and not just once!

The child is a fresh mind maker. He just make calculation of the reaction of his parents, If the mother has already blowing her No decision, then it must be followed by altogether No of the father.If it is not followed then the child should calculate it as Lax.

You're right! those people who are very hot tempered and could not control their feelings doesn't know how to discipline children. I suggest that they should join seminars that would help them about this, seminars for self-control, how-to-discipline children, emotional stability, etc.

I see to it that values like love, kindness, honestly, politeness, courtesy, are in their heart . When they commit mistakes , we take time to explain to them the consequences.

Spanking is not the only form of  punishment we use. Sometimes we defer giving them what they want or  prohibit  them from playing with their  friends  until they realize their  mistakes .

OUr  children have learned to be honest, thus whenever they commit mistakes no investigation is needed. We also let them think of suggestions or solutions to correct their mistakes.
