For me its better being check before entering school. They should conduct much more heighten security for insurance. Check routine are also good to stop violence in school I agree with that.

obviously yes of course they should check on their students. once the child is inside their campus, it's their responsibility to keep them safe. they should also implement a "no ID, no entry" and a tight security.

in addition to that, a teacher may double check on student's once inside the room before starting the class and rooms should be closed once the student's are in.

i agree with locking the school campus gate to prevent outsiders from coming in and out of the school. tight security system, metal detectors should be implement and so with no ID, no entry rules.

I agree with michael and melissa.  If the safety of your kids are at stake then these safety checks should be installed.

Well I think they're just thinking of their students safety. They are accountable for their students so they should see to it that their school is violence free area.

it is important to check the students' stuffs before they will enter the school premises and before they may hurt someone out of bringing guns. it is ok to lock gates/doors from school campus but what is important is to know whether where are those gangs coming from, is it from the outside or from the inside itself.

Schools locking up their doors are the type of schools who were very strict. I think they'll frighten their students with what they're doing. Don't they have any guards to secure the students in that school?
