Movies- a motivating factor of school violence

 

School violence is a panic problem for the whole world especially for the United States of America because this problem is largely seen in the schools of America. It is creating tension in the minds of parents, teachers, principals and students. Children are becoming violent at a very small age and they are showing violent acts in schools. They are creating troubles for other kids coming to schools.

 

There are various factors that are responsible for increasing schools violence. Movies and TV shows are also coming under the factors that are responsible for increasing violence in schools. Movies that are being showed today contain a huge amount of violence. They include the act of using new weapons for killing people. It is also including new ways for fighting people. They see the use of revolver and knives in the TV shows and films and try to buy them. After buying them they use it over other students and teachers in schools. Children are quite innocent and they don’t know that whatever they are doing today is going to create problems in the long run. They are not only playing with their career but running their whole life.

 

Weapons are easily available in the United States of America. There are no strict laws against the availability and buying of weapons. So anybody can access these weapons easily. Children are taking the benefit of this fact and buying them. They feel themselves to be superior if they are having any kind of revolver or knives with them. They buy these weapons and give birth to painful incidents like Virginia Tech massacre, Columbine High School massacre and Bath School disaster etc. These incidents had killed a large number of students, teachers and principals. A large number of people were injured in these incidents and they had created a great tension in the society.

 

So because of violent films children are losing their moral values. For them moral values are the part and parcel of their curriculum. They are not at all interested in following these values in their day to day life. They are more attracted by films and their violence. They feel that if they are going to exhibit violence in schools then they will become famous and everybody will know them. No doubt they will get fame by showing violent acts in schools but that fame is in negative sense and it is sufficient enough to spoil their whole life. So it is the duty of the parents and school administration to take action and steps against violence.

 

Government should ban films and shows that are exhibiting large amount of violence. There should be some laws against the use of large amount of violence in the films. Children are the future of the nation and there should be regular check on the kind of serials and films that children are watching. If they will watch films and shows that are exhibiting knowledge then they will be able to groom their future better.
