Steps to identify behavioural changes in children

The greatest concern of the present world of education is the school violence, which is consuming the lives of the children in our houses. Violence in school is not a simple form of childish fighting, but a major issue that shows cultural and emotionally drastic changes. This needs the effort of everyone in this world, in order to reduce the effects of the same. We need to take care of the psychological development in children, if we are to truly eradicate the effects of school violence.

Violence in schools is becoming more prevalent in all the schools of the developed countries and they are mainly seen in the age groups within the age of twelve to eighteen years. Only kind words and patient dealings will help them in recovering from the effects of violence in school. We can always see an external change in the behaviour of students who have been affected by this disease. By noticing these changes and by spending time with the kids, we can find out proper solutions to curb this issue in the initial stages.

Teachers in schools should be able to find out these behavioural changes effectively and thereby take necessary action to prevent the increase in the aggravation of such students in the earlier stages. Symptoms like the child getting angry on small issues and violent responses for questions asked are the common initial symptoms of behavioural changes in children. We need to deal kindly to all children and if their actions are worse than ever, we can initiate proper remedial methods to curb this menace.

Fighting with fellow students may be the next stage of violent behaviour in children and if they are seen taking risks in their proceedings, we need to take immediate action against it by either reporting this to their parents or to the head members of the school management. If unchecked, these symptoms will grow worse and consume the life of the children, whom we love most.

Isolation and open punishments never serve as a remedy for the school violence and if done, they will only serve as a fuel to the fire raging inside the minds of the younglings and thereby make our future world to be filled with sorrows and pain. Cure for these actions will be available only when we make certain sacrifices for the sake of our younger generation. We need to spend more time with them and should be able to listen to their problems with patience.

It is not necessary for us to solve every problem that comes from the children’s side but it is always wise to hear them out, as we serve as the consoling lap for them. If not, their sorrows and pain gets accumulated and when it reaches a breaking point, children tend to turn violent to either counteract this feeling or to take revenge against the ones who do not give them support.

If love and care is not given freely, their next target will be to get them forcibly. That is why they tend to be violent with their fellow classmates and make them suffer, when they are in need of things. They believe, in violent situations that only by forcing others, can they get the best of all gifts available in the world.
